PBD Feel the Beat

OVERVIEW

Hello, my name is Ben Bartholomew. As a photographer, designer, and developer it has been my pleasure to serve clients across the United States as well as internationally since the year 2001.

Regardless of whether I am providing a personal or corporate web site, wedding pictures, or merely acting as a consultant, it is my goal to exceed expectations and deliver quality products and services. Due to this general policy of going the extra mile, over 90% of my new business continues to be generated through referals from previous/current clientele.

ARTISTIC PHILOSOPHY

I am of the opinion that things should be both functional and full of life and personality. While a broken watch is right twice a day, it is not a practical means of telling the time. On the other hand, a house with all of the essentials and no decoration or personal touches is hardly a home that one would want to return to. In my experience, a harmony between these elements is generally the best solution to a problem.

In all of my products and services I try to incorporate a certain level of this duality between function and design. In essence, it has required me to develop a fine balance between the technical and the aesthetic as well as the practical and the flamboyant.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

While I would consider myself a "self-taught" artist and programmer, I have had valuable education that has enhanced both my skills and perspective. I have studied the areas of art, photography, design, and programming from both Utah Valley State College and the University of Utah.

Before finishing my high school diploma from American Fork High School in May 2005, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utah Valley State College with an Associate's of Science in Integrated Studies in April 2005. I am currently attending the University of Utah where I am studying the field of Accounting.
